It can be recycled ad infinitum, while its improved environmental properties allow it to play an important role in the creation of a recycling economy in the country and serve as a key innovation in the Fourth Industrial revolution

The world is evolving fast towards carbon-free production. By 2050, most global economies seek to achieve carbon neutrality. Achieving this goal will stimulate innovation and development of new production facilities.

Russia is a global leader in aluminium industry in terms of sustainable development. This is helped by the retrofitting of production facilities and replacement of equipment, development of low-carbon footprint products, as well as cooperation with international organisations and partners.

The Recycling sector has got the following goals and priorities:

Expanding the uses of aluminium;
Reducing the environmental impact of the industry;
Deploying modern technologies for the recycling of waste;
Creating an expert community in the industry with competencies in recycling technologies and the ecology of aluminium;
Helping create and improve regulatory documents and eliminate violations in order to foster a healthy competitive environment;
Popularising aluminium as a modern environmentally-friendly high-tech material, and promoting consumer satisfaction when using aluminium products;
Promoting aluminium in the implementation of import substitution programmes;
