RUSAL and Alternativa Group, a manufacturer of curtain walls, have extended their cooperation agreement that was signed in 2021. The parties have agreed to collaborate on the development and promotion of domestic aluminium façade systems. This year, Alternativa Group was one of the first in Russia to increase the production of aluminium façade systems, exceeding 1 million square metres. The commissioning of new production facilities in 2024 will increase the annual output to 1.5 million square metres. The high corrosion resistance of aluminium guarantees that aluminium façades have a long lifespan of up to 50 years. The total cost of ownership is reduced by 30% compared to similar steel products.
Another benefit of aluminium façades is their environmental friendliness. RUSAL’s flagship brand of low-carbon aluminium, ALLOW, is used in their production. More and more customers across many industries are choosing recyclable or eco-friendly materials, enabling them to produce environmentally friendly products.
“Aluminium not only has high corrosion and fire resistance, but also low weight, high strength, and is easily machined. This allows any architectural designs and forms to be implemented in construction or renovation projects," comments Roman Selin, an expert from the Aluminium Association.
According to Alexey Soldatenkov, Head of Aluminium Product Development, Alternativa Group, the new agreement greatly expands the possibilities for using aluminium alloys in manufacturing and demonstrates the reliability of partnerships.
