Irina Kazovskaya, Chairperson of the Aluminium Association, has been appointed as the head of the TC 099 Aluminium Standardisation Technical Committee. The committee, an offspring of the Aluminium Association, improves the efficiency of aluminium standardisation, updates outdated standards for aluminium raw materials, alloys and aluminium-containing products, and removes regulatory barriers and restrictions for the use of aluminium in transport, power generation, manufacturing, construction and other industries. The Aluminium Association, in collaboration with the Technical Committee experts and partners, is working on national and international standards and programmes to expand the use of aluminium. They also conduct expert reviews of draft documents and specifications.

“The activities of the TC 099 Aluminium Committee are crucial for the entire domestic aluminium industry, ensuring the production of high-quality national standards for aluminium and aluminium alloy products. The Committee’s high level of expertise will facilitate the success of the Aluminium Industry Standardisation Programme 2022~2026," notes Irina Kazovskaya.

The Committee comprises the largest aluminium companies, research institutes and other organisations.
