The goal of the agreement is to ensure that consumers have access to safe and high-quality food products. This is achieved by using innovative and eco-friendly materials.
The agreement was signed by Irina Kazovskaya, Co-Chair of the Russian Aluminium Association, and Daniil Briman, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Brewers Union. The parties agreed to cooperate to ensure stable and predictable regulation of the food market at the federal, regional, and municipal levels. They also agreed to develop effective and balanced relationships between trade companies, producers, suppliers and consumers.
The parties will conduct joint expert reviews of draft regulatory acts and initiatives that affect the functioning of the food market. They will prepare proposals to develop the food market, exchange information and experience in applying best practices, and hold joint information, consulting, and training public events.
Irina Kazovskaya, Co-Chair of the Aluminium Association: 'In the past few years, we have seen a steady rise in the demand for aluminium packaging. The aluminium can is the most eco-friendly type of packaging. It can be recycled infinitely. Moreover, it is affordable, lightweight, easy to transport, and has high barrier properties. This means it protects the drink from light, oxygen, and other harmful factors. I am confident that the signing of this agreement will have a positive impact on the development of the beverage market and the use of environmentally friendly aluminium containers in it.'
Daniil Briman, Chairman of the Board of the Union of Russian Brewers: 'The demand for aluminium cans in the brewing industry is constantly increasing. We believe that this type of packaging has a great potential in the Russian market. Our main goal is to cooperate and find new ways to grow the beer market and the market for aluminium packaging. At the same time, the interests of our consumers and the strengthening of the Russian economy will be among the most important objectives..'
