The Art of Building International Architecture Festival is a nationwide event showcasing the achievements of Russian architecture and urban planning. The Festival is supported by the Moscow City Hall, the Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities, and the Moscow Architecture and Urban Planning Board.

The theme of the 31st Festival is Tomorrow as proposed by curator Alexey Komov. It means the search for current trends in architecture and urban planning and is reflected in the business agenda and the expo.

The Art of Building Festival has always been a networking platform for all members of the professional community. It covers a wide range of professional topics, both national and local.

Key issues discussed:

• The Festival’s founder and organiser is the Russian Union of Architects
• The country’s premier networking platform for architects, manufacturers, and government agencies
• Three key events: competition, exhibition, and business programme
• The largest Russian expo centres are the venues of the Festival’s expo and business events
• Each year, architects submit over 450 entries to the competition
• The Expo showcases the achievements of the local urban planning authorities, architectural studios, and material/technology suppliers
• A 3-day business programme with leading industry speakers

The Aluminium Association will have a booth and participate in the business programme.

At the Festival, the Association will introduce its new project, the Guide to Aluminium Finishes, to the architectural community. The project is the result of cooperation with the Russian Union of Architects / Moscow Union of Architects.

A panel discussion titled The Edge of ArchItectural Uniqueness. Finishing Coating Capabilities will be held. Participants: the Aluminium Association, architects, developers, companies who have contributed to the Guide, and construction material manufacturers.
