Casting and pressing plant Segal (a company of SIAL Group) produces aluminium alloys, extruded aluminium profiles and finished products from these. The plant’s production capacity is 32,000 tonnes of products a year, and 26,000 tonnes of production per year.

‘Segal’ is one of the leaders in Russian production of aluminium profiles for translucent structures and suspended ventilated facades. Architectural features with structures made from aluminium profile from the SIAL system can be seen all over Russia. These include at the Universiade in Kazan, apartment complexes in Ekaterinburg and St Petersburg, and business-centres and residential areas in Moscow.

The structure of the company includes casting, forging and painting production, an anodising area, production of suspended facades, frameworks and other items made from aluminium profile, an analytical laboratory and a packaging area.

The production of aluminium profile is carried out at automated forging complexes with pressing strength 2750 ТС, 2500 ТС, 2100 ТС, 1200 ТС, 2750 ТС и 1460 ТС. To paint the items made from ‘Segal’ aluminium alloy, vertical automated painting lines are used from companies Trevisan (Italy) and TNE (Singapore), and horizontal automated powder coating lines from NEWLAC (Spain).

The company has successfully implemented programmes to develop production of transport components for rail and water transport. The company delivers products to Russian companies that repair and construct train cars, and collaborates with leading shipbuilding and ship repair factories. The LPZ ‘Segal’ quality management system is certified according to international standards of suppliers of transport components.
