OOO ‘KiK’ was founded on November 22, 1991 as a joint Soviet-German company. A flexible marketing policy, dynamic development of scientific and technological potential, stable investments has allowed the company to manufacture high-quality alloy wheel rims and maintain its lead position in the sector for over 25 years.
The operational quality system at the production facilities complies with international ISO/TS 16949:2009 standards (quality management system in automotive construction), confirmed by the DQS GmbH certificate. Each model goes through careful quality control process in the owned and accredited Rostest, a testing laboratory using methods of leading global car manufacturers. The laboratory is the only one in Russia equipped with a dual-axis ZWARP testing station from the company Makra, which simulates any configuration of the route used for the test drive of the wheel, and replaces the weeks of field tests with just a few days.
Every wheel rim goes through quality control in all stages of production: Roentgen control, leak tests, geometric inspection, visual inspection. In the production process, international methods are applied: APQP, FMEA, Leanproduction and others.
Additional durability is added-in during the manufacturing of the wheel rims which exceeds the standards. Therefore, a unique lifetime warranty is included in the metal and wheel rim construction.
K&K and Rapid wheel rim brands offer around 120 designs which are in line with current trends in car fashion and often set fashion trends themselves. In 2012 and 2013, the K&K brand was awarded the MAK prize for ‘Brand of the Year’.
In 2010, a project was launched to manufacture wheel rims with a lower weight using WeightReduction technology. Using this technology, the rims are made more accessible for the consumer in terms of price, and comply with Russian quality standards Replica, iFree and K7.
‘KiK’ wheel rims are highly valued by Russian and foreign car owners. The wheel rims are sold via official online shops, K&K company service centres, as well as through a developed distribution network in Russia (around 1,500 shops from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad), CIS countries and the EU.
KiK is an official supplier of wheel rims among national and European automobile manufacturers, including AVTOVAZ, UAZ, GM, Renault. KiK wheel rims are used to manufacture powerful modern SUVs ArcticTrucks, created on the base of Toyota vehicles.
