CO-CHAIR OF RUSSIAN ALUMINIUM ASSOCIATION
Artem Asatur has been Co-Chairman of the Aluminium Association since September 2019. Prior to that, he was Head for International Relations since 2018. In that position, his job involved supporting export activities and improving access to foreign markets for members of the Association, as well as protecting the Eurasian Economic Union market from unfair competition from producers based outside of it. He represents the Association at the Business G20, the International Aluminium Institute and the consultative bodies of the OECD.
Prior to joining the Association, he worked at UC RUSAL in the International Projects Directorate, where he was responsible for government relations and cooperation with international organisations on issues related to the foreign business interests of the Company. He worked in similar positions in major financial organisations and machine engineering companies. His first job was in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
In 1999, he graduated from the Moscow State Institute (University) of International Relations with a degree in International Law, in 2005 he was awarded with an honours diploma from the Russian National Academy of Foreign Trade, with a degree in International Economics. He is a fluent speaker of English and Spanish.
